How New Start Began
I didn’t come to this work by reading a book. I came to it through fire.
I served a life sentence. I was addicted. Violent. Numb. For years I lived in a state of chaos — destroying anything good and pushing away anyone who cared. What I didn’t realize is that I was already dead inside. Not because of what was done to me, but because of what I refused to face.
My turning point wasn’t dramatic. It was quiet. Slow. Ugly. The moment I accepted full responsibility for my life — no more excuses, no more blame — was the moment I began to rebuild. Not with comfort or ease, but with daily discipline. With sweat. With humility. With the willingness to face everything I had done and everything I had become.
New Start Enterprises wasn’t born in a boardroom. It was born in a prison cell. In a dog training yard. In recovery. In books written thousands of years ago. In myth and movement and moments of stillness. It was forged from pain, purpose, and the decision to rise. Not once — but every day.
The RAIDD Code came from that climb back: - Responsibility for my actions. - Accountability to those I harmed. - Integrity in every word, even when no one believed me. - Discipline in my new set of values. - Dedication to a new life, not just for me, but for others like me.
We don’t run programs. We reveal a path. We don’t fix people. We challenge them to rise. We don’t sell transformation. We demand the work that makes it real.
